Next Move Arts was founded by some film students from Anglia Ruskin University (Cambridge, UK) in 2015. Now, it is becoming a platform where up-and-coming filmmakers from around the world can create their own film projects and collaborate. Its founder, Nanci Cruz, finished her postgraduate master's in Film Distribution and Marketing at Birmingham City University (UK) in 2021 and is now doing her PhD in Media Arts and Communication at Lusofona University (Lisboa, Portugal).
We welcome everyone from any background to join us. We want this platform to be as diverse as possible. From the past to the present, artists and creatives from different countries, social groups, genders, and ages have collaborated with us in a variety of jobs. The basis of our teamwork is maintaining these contacts with organizations related to cinematic and theatrical arts worldwide. Maintaining this dynamic is vital to our team's success.
Our motto has always been “Created by artists, for artists”, and we want it to continue being this way. Today, more than ever, we need to support each other and be a united community with respect. This is so that we can continue to grow healthily and set a positive example for this industry.
We are currently opening the platform for more European projects and collaborations, along with other countries worldwide, such as those in South America.
